Growing up in Greece, my grandfather was a professional flower grower, and a love of all things green was instilled in me at a young age. I followed in his footsteps, earning a doctoral degree in horticulture while gaining valuable experience in European horticultural meccas such as Holland, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. Soon after, my wife and I brought our shared love for growing plants to the United States.

In 1982, we purchased The Flower Source, which at the time was a wholesale rose supply business. As the community of Germantown was itself beginnning to blossom, many new homeowners came to us looking for flowers and plants. In response to this explosive growth and to meet a burgeoning need in the community, we opened a small retail business.
